Botanics Organics Face Nourishing Cleanser

Hands up everyone who still feels that if it doesn’t foam it isn’t making you clean. I know you don’t need bubbles to get clean but it’s a psychological issue. I’m used to my cleansers foaming! I’m also used to them drying my skin out which is why I decided to try a cream cleanser despite my misgivings. This cleanser promises to remove your makeup leaving you with super soft moisturised skin.

The cream itself is fairly thick, off white and has a mild earthy kind of scent to it. The bottles states to apply and wipe it off with cotton wool  but I find that leaves be with more than a little makeup still left on my face. I prefer to massage it in with my fingers then wipe off with a hot damp face cloth.

The thing is I still feel the need to wash my face after using this. It doesn’t leave any residue and as long as I use a damp cloth with it is does get everything off but still. Maybe I’m just weird (shh you in the back) but I like the ritual of actually washing my face. I like this enough to keep using it but I’m not quite converted to cream cleansers just yet. Has anyone got any suggestions for cleansers that will knock my socks/ makeup off?

A 250ml bottle will set you back £5.10 at Boots but keep your eyes peeled for their frequent 3 for 2 offers!

  1. I’ve just started using the boots organics cleansing balm and I love it! it uses the muslin cloth system, it smells great and removes all makeup for me

  2. Hi Claire,

I'm the same, I need to wash my face with water after whatever I cleanser I use, otherwise I stil have some traces on my skin (or at least that's how it feels). I'm not too fussed about whether my cleanser foams or not, but my shampoo and shower gel definitely has to, lol. I was thinking, have you tried the Clinique Rinse-Off Foaming Cleanser, I quite like that one. Otherwise I don't have many suggestions, I'm on the hunt for a good cleanser too. x

  3. blimey, it's been a while since I have commented on your blog. I forgot how lovely this shabby blog background wallpaper is absolutely stunning. I like the idea of it but like you, I just couldn't put that on and not rinse it. I would feel dirty lol. Deffo not converted into cream cleansers yet xx

  4. Hi Anita, I haven't tried the Clinique one but it's on my list to try! I'm currently trying a sample of the mild liquid facial soap and I'm not in love with it.

Cheers for the tip Discovering Beauty :-) I'll pop the Boots one on the list too!

Lol always a pleasure to see you commenting Liloo! Glad you like the wallpaper. The shabby blog site is so handy!
