Holy Grail Face Wipes?

Now hold on there a second lady, you’ve never found your holy grail ANYTHING so why would you declare face wipes (a product that I deem a necessary evil rather than something I actually like) to have holy grail status? I’ll start off by saying what I actually use them for. Basically I only ever use face wipes to remove the bulk of my foundation when I get in from a long day at work (I always cleanse properly in the evening) or to remove swatches. I never rely on them to properly clean my face because I just don’t believe they can. End of story.

My pet hates with face wipes are that they are usually quite harsh on my sensitive skin and they tend to dry out long before I’ve reached the end of the packet because those little stickers to seal them shut just don’t cut it. Well those cheeky little elves have managed to avoid both of those problems. They have a proper clicky shut closing mechanism that keeps everything nice and *ahem* moist. The wipes themselves have yet to bother my skin at all which is quite unusual.

My only gripe is that you only get 20 in a pack. Now they only cost £3.50 so I shouldn’t complain too much but when you factor in the fact that I can’t just pop to the shops and pick these up the shipping does add to the cost. Dare I say it this might be the only product from ELF not to offer AMAZING value for money given that generic brands of wipes are the same price minus the hassle of shipping.

My solution is to wait until they have one of their 20% off codes floating about and then buy a metric tonne of them. They do the job better than anything else I’ve tried x

  2. "and buy a metric ton of them" xD

I don't believe in using wipes to cleanse the face either. Like you, I use them to remove swatches or to wipe other makeup off my hand. I also like to use them to wipe off as much face makeup as I can before I hit the shower and wash it off properly. The ones I buy are from Target (which I'm not sure exists in the UK. But they're a bit like Walmart but don't treat their employees like crap.). I get 3 packs of 80 for under $5 :)

  3. Whatever you do, don't be tempted by ones from Poundland...they don't do anything!

Storing wipes upside down stops them drying out as quickly.

  4. I used to really like them, then it seems the formula changed :-/ Not overly impressed with them any more, have moved on to Say Yes to Blueberries wipes now :)

  7. I do use these before I cleanse my face with the Clarisonic and not surprisingly, the clairsonic still cleans up lots of my foundation
