I won this blush over at Pleasureflush a few weeks ago.
Laura Geller isn’t a brand I have tried much from, mostly due to the fact that
it isn’t overly easy to come by in the UK. I know it is sold o QVC but their
shipping rates put me off. I was thrilled to have chance to try this one out! I
am not sure on pricing but I *think* it is probably around the £20 which would place
it firmly in the high end price bracket. Thankfully though the quality lives up
to it.
You get 9g in some fabulously festive gold packaging. In the
pan it looks like a MAC MSF with baby pink, caramel and berry shades swirled
together. It looks a touch sparkly in the pan which made me very wary but
thankfully what transfers to the cheek is a smooth shimmer rather than a glitter
fest.
The texture is so much softer than any MAC MSF that I own. It
just blends itself with no real effort. It is a lovely warm pink shade when
applied. Granted I wouldn’t wear any highlighter with this but the shimmer is
soft enough to be flattering rather than frosty.
I’m extremely impressed with the product and there is a set
on QVC (Vanilla Nudes I think?) which has been calling to me recently. I’m not
sure whether I will take the plunge yet though. Thoughts? X

I'm really glad you like it. :) I have the eyeshadow and the highlighter/blush trio from Vanilla Nudes and they're nice, and I believe the Balance n Brighten is a really good powder foundation/setting powder/ The set's price is actually pretty good I think, but you're right, QVC shipping is quite pricey. I buy my Laura Geller stuff on eBay from the US because I don't normally want the whole sets, just the blushes and eyeshadows, but if you want the set, the Vanilla Nudes want is a good deal. x
ReplyDeleteThanks again Anita :-) I thought the Vanilla Nudes set might be a good way to try the range of products x
ReplyDeleteNow there's a brand of blush I've never tried! It looks really pretty! Might have to order some Laura Geller to try out!
ReplyDeleteAfter watching a few Youtube videos lately I've been massively lemming half the Laura Geller line! I even want the Balance n Brighten even though I know powder and mineral foundations don't last on me. This is very pretty x
ReplyDeleteI've been eyeing the Vanilla Nudes too but have been put off a bit my QVC's p&p, it seems unnecessarily high?! Does it come wrapped in gold or...? Regardless, I'm sure I'll end up picking it up soon enough x
