Witch Anti-Blemish Skin Clearing Primer

I bought this back when my skin was playing silly buggers but didn’t open it until recently for reasons which escape me. This of course means that I no longer (touch wood!) have spotty skin so I can only assess it on how well it performs as a primer and whether or not it causes new break outs. Well, so far no new break outs and as a primer? I rather like it.

You get 30ml for your £6.99 housed in a handy pump bottle. I really like the packaging. I like the price too. It’s within easy reach of the age demographic most likely to need anti blemish products. The product is fragrance free which I approve of and it is slightly different to any other primer I own. It feels more like a lotion. Whilst it isn’t poly filler for pores like Benefit Porefessional it does do a nice job of diffusing the look of large pores and smoothing the skin. It takes a minute or two to set but when it has my skin feels satin smooth.

My foundation applies smoothly over this and it does a decent enough job of suppressing oil. Of course my nose still gets oily but I have time to blot and powder before my foundation starts disintegrating. It holds up rather well.

If you have normal to oily skin and are looking for a primer that won’t break the bank then this is a cheap and cheerful option. It doesn’t feel greasy like the GOSH Velvet Touch Primer can if you use too much. It goes on a little smoother than the L’Oreal moussey primer that I can’t remember the name of right now. Lovely! X
