Hands up, I confess. I’m an idiot. I bought a mascara
because the bright shouty packaging caught my eye and I was in a rush without
bothering to have a look at the wand. Had I spotted the wand prior to
purchasing this I wouldn’t have bothered because I know that my little piggy
eyes don’t play nicely with big wands.
I have this in 001 Black and it is a nice deep black
formula. As if you couldn’t see that well enough on my lashes you can
definitely see it on the surrounding skin... I am a disaster at applying this.
The formula itself is just ok. It doesn’t make my curl flop
but it’s not the best at holding it either. It doesn’t smear or run but I have
noticed a little bit of flaking. It isn’t clumpy but it doesn’t do a great job
of separating. In short I’m not sure a smaller wand would have saved this for
me. It just isn’t quite right for my lashes.

I should hasn’t to add that one woman’s poison is another woman’s
holy grail. Mascara is a very personal thing and not everyone’s lashes behave
the same way. I love the packaging of this, the product just isn’t right for me
sadly. If big wands are more your thing
(ooh er) this normally costs £6.99.

If big wands are more your thing = hahaha x
ReplyDeleteHaha sorry, I'm a dirty minded tramp :p x
DeleteSomeone needs to make a mascara wand size comparison website. I like a medium sized wand (lol) but brands these days seem increasingly convinced that bigger is better.
ReplyDeleteHehe I think it might be quite a task convincing marketing folks that bigger isn't always better x
