Recently the unthinkable happened. I had no gel liner left at all! *Faints* Everything had dried up and been thrown away so on the recommendation of my friend Vicky (check out her craft blog here) I picked up this from Boots for £7.99. I was pleased to see this actually came with a good quality brush, it’s not entirely dissimilar to the No7 liner brushes.
The frosted glass jar looks great. The brush performs very well too, used on its side you can create a thin line and you can use the flatter side to apply it onto the waterline as well. The formula is somewhat wet initially, it feels a loft softer and creamier than the ELF Studio Cream liner for example, but it sets down to a satin matte finish that does not move. The formula is very easy to work with and it doesn’t drag or skip across the skin at all. It's a deeper black than it appears in the swatches below, not sure what happened there!
Once it has set it lasts all day for me on the top lashline. On the waterline it’s equally impressive, I get about 6-7 hours on the waterline which on my watery eyes is a very impressive feat. I’m very pleased that I went with this liner as I had been thinking about getting a Bobbi Brown or MAC version but this performs exceptionally well and is substantially more purse friendly as well. And I get a bonus liner brush to boot! X
