Whilst I’m a good little beauty blogger and don’t really advocate
using face wipes as a daily cleansing method (we really should be washing our
faces properly) I still maintain a face wipe is better than no cleansing at
all. Sometimes I’m just too tired/ lazy to do the whole routine! Normally I
swear by my ELF face wipes but I’d heard good things about the No7 ones so £5
voucher in hand I picked up a pack.
Initially things look great. You get 30 in a pack, 10 more than
you get from ELF. The packet comes with a sturdy plastic opening which snaps
shut to stop the wipes from drying out. I approve of this! Nothing worse than a
dry horrible face wipe. No7 claim these are for all skin types and are
hypoallergenic and hats off to them, they don’t irritate my fussy skin at all
nor do they sting my eyes.
The thing is these don’t do quite as good a job of actually
getting the slap off my face as the ELF wipes do. They are ok, just not quite
as effective. The packet claims that these will remove even waterproof mascara
but I just don’t find that to be the case. Perhaps it’s just that they aren’t
as moist? Whatever the reason I do tend to have some mean looking panda eyes
the morning after using these.
Ordinarily these cost £7 which frankly I think is a lot for
face wipes! But the perennial £5 off vouchers knock them down to a very reasonably
£2. Frankly you’d be mad to pay full price. I like that these are more easily
accessible than the ELF wipes and they do a good enough job for me to happily buy
these instead when there aren’t any free shipping codes floating about for ELF.
I’m certainly more likely to buy these than any other brand which doesn’t have
the snap shut lid! X
