Anatomicals Stop Cracking Up Lip Balm

Expect a slew of lip balm reviews over the next month or so. I’ve been hunting high and low for a lip balm that will magically transform my horrendous pout. Lanolips has helped, a lot, but I still want something more. This sadly is not it.

It starts off well. The packaging, or rather the text, is very cute. The price (£2.55 I think but it’s disappeared off the Boots site)is also very palatable. The balm itself is very inoffensive. It’s a very thick but non sticky clear gel with no scent or taste that I can detect. It lasts well on the lips without being overly gloopy and uncomfortable. The slanted applicator is ok and more hygienic than a pot I suppose.

But sadly for me it just doesn’t do much of anything. I suppose it is a little moisturising but really it’s just not enough. My lips don’t feel any less chapped and flaky by the end of a day of slathering this on religiously.

So the hunt goes on. Are you a bit of a lip balm fiend too? What are your favourites? I’m desperate!! X

  1. I used to have a really great Nivea lip balm called SOS Lip care. They've changed it now, but I think it's still pretty good http://www.nivea.co.uk/products/lip-care/SOS-Lip-Balm

If in doubt, don't Neutrogena have a Norwegian formula lip balm? If it's as good as the hand cream...

  3. I just put on E45 cream every day and it's worked wonders! Way better than any lip balm I've tried, my lips are actually healing and feel super soft now.

  4. I love lipbalms! Permanently on the hunt for better ones. So I'm looking forward to seeing more lipbalm posts! Recently I've found the Nivea Milk and Honey to be amazing. It doesn't look like much but it just stays on the lips and really gets them feeling happier I find. Also the Apivita lipbalms. Smell like heaven and apply them before bed - you'll still have product there in the morning - ideal for me. xo
