I was given this as a birthday present last month, and I’ve
been wearing it nonstop ever since. I love this fragrance. This particular offering
from Vivienne Westwood costs £53 for the 50ml bottle and I will say I like the
bottle itself. It’s simple, understated and the chain with the charm round the
neck actually has a clasp and doubles as a cute bracelet.
Reviewing perfume is difficult. I can show you a picture of
a swatch or colour but I can’t get you to sniff what I’m talking about. I’m
going to try my best to describe the scent to you. The sort of fragrances I
prefer are dark, heady almost masculine fragrances. But during the day in a
small stuffy office I tend to wear lighter, innocuous florals to avoid
upsetting any one. This is the perfect medium for me. It’s light enough to wear
at work and interesting enough for me to really enjoy it.
It’s described as a ‘luminous floriental’ which I assume
means a floral oriental fragrance ;) There certainly is a floral element, rose
and violet, to it but it’s softened by a sweet warmth. It is by no means
sickly. It starts off powdery and floral and dries down to a warmer scent with
ylang ylang and to me a little vanilla.
This lasts really well on me. I can still smell it on myself
at the end of a work day which I approve of! One thing I will say is as always
make sure you try this on yourself! On a tester card this smelled awful to me.
It smelled too powdery and a bit sour to me. On my skin though I adore this. x

We picked this up in Heathrow Duty Free last year and it's really great!! I haven't seen it over here though which makes me sad for when I run out!
