Happy New Year!

Well we made it. Good bye 2012, it’s been fun (sort of). I’m not one to be sentimental though so onwards and upwards! I’ve noticed on twitter people having a bit of a downer on New Years resolutions claiming that no one sticks to them etc etc. Personally I like them. I find it useful to record my goals and I’m actually proud to say that I’m pretty good at sticking to them! You can find my 2012 New Years Resolutions here.

What about this year then? Well I do have a couple of goals actually.

·         Yes it’s another no buy. You know how I love ‘em! Basically I have 45 products that need reviewing and a whole host of other blog post ideas. When I’ve reviewed all of those I can purchase new items but not before.

·         I want do better quality posts this year. By this I mean I want to do more to demonstrate products in action, provide more useful information such as links to where you can buy products. In a nut shell I just want to be a better blogger. I’m considering a scoring system for product reviews. What do you think, helpful or not?
·         I’ve been looking for a new job on and off for 2 years now but come hell or high water 2013 is the year it is going to happen.

·         And finally I want to start remembering to actually submit links to Beauty Blog Link Love. I always forget!

I think those are realistic and manageable goals although not terrible exciting ones. What are your resolutions? Do you have any at all? Or are you dead set against them? And please do let me know what improvements you would like to see on this blog. Constructive criticism is always helpful J x

  1. Happy new year! I have to say, I don't like scoring systems on blogs, but that's just me. If you already include in the descriptionthe good and bad points, there's no need for scores imo. Good luck with your no-buy, I've been on a lipstick/lipgloss one fairly successfully, need to do a nail polish one as well as I've gone crazy about nail polish and now have 700 of them, most of which are unused. Shameful really. Also good luck with the job hunt! xxx

    1. Happy New Year to you too! Hmm I'm thinking the scoring system is a no no. It doesn't seem to be very popular. Congrats on your successful lip product no buy :) x

  2. Happy New Year Claire! All the best in 2013!
I also don't care for scoring systems-I don't really see the point of them.
Good luck on the no-buy! I'll be paring down myself too. I haven't really bought much in the last while myself and it's easy once you get into the swing of loving the stuff you have.

    1. Happy New Year Tracy :) I've gotten into the habit of not buying much too which has been nice. I just happened to receive a fair few items for Christmas so I'm set for a while now! No to the scoring systems then! x
