Marshmallow Blends Order

I’m a fan of supporting small, independent companies. Sometimes it’s just nicer buying little unique products from a company that you actually know the name of the owner. It gives the products personality. Marshmallow Blends is owned by Nicoletta. I’ve followed her on twitter for a while which Is how I found out about her company. At the beginning of December I placed an order for various bits and bobs including items for presents for friends/ family and of course a few goodies for myself.

The order arrived quickly and everything was extremely well wrapped in hot pink tissue paper. The box smelled divine! I was thrilled to see little touches such as a wee hand written note on the invoice thanking me for my order and even more excited to see two samples included.

The items I kept for myself are pictured above. I ordered a Baileys Lip Butter (£3.99) for myself (and several other flavours as gifts) and Pick & Mix Wax Tarts (£5 and you choose the fragrances you want to receive) for my oil burner. The lip butter comes in an adorable heart shaped tin and with approximately 20g on product will last you a very long time. It smells delicious and contains nourishing ingredients such as shea butter, aloe and vitamin E. I find the texture to be quite firm in the pot. The heat from your finger melts the product and it spreads in a thin layer. It isn’t cloying or greasy at all like Vaseline can be. It is hydrating and softening although if you have very dry, chapped lips you may need something more medicated.

The wax tarts are excellent quality. The scents are strong and diffuse well to fill the whole room. The fragrance lasts 6-8 hours of burn time for me which is about the same as Yankee candle tarts. Some contain glitter which I thought was adorable!

I received samples of the Creme Brulee Shower fluff and the Pink Sugar Body Butter. I adore the shower fluff. It is a firm cream that lathers spectacularly well when used with a shower puff. It gives a rich creamy lathering that is quite moisturising, it actually remind me a little of LUSH Turkish Delight in texture. The crème brulee fragrance smells almost edible although there is a hint of coconut in there which caught me by surprise. The body butter was nice, almost like a hard oil that melts with your body heat. It smelled fab but I just didn’t find it quite hydrating enough for my scaly winter skin. I think the formula would be better for me in the summer personally.

So overall I’m very pleased with my first order from Marshmallow Blends. I thought the customer service was fab and the products are lovely. Do you have any little niche artisan brands that you swear by? Please leave me links below in the comments!

*I bought and paid for these products myself*

I looooove these two, Sasha and Veronika. I have ordered from them many times and I am a big fan of their organic, homemade products. They're super sweet and provide great service. My favorite is their rose water!

Hopefully the link works. Theyre called lol natural. Its where I was trying to get a craft day before for us. Their stuff is really nice, good quality and difficult not to buy all of it.
They also do pamper parties and wedding favours.
