I know, I know. I don’t even particularly like Spring/
Summer. I’m definitely an Autumn/ Winter kinda gal. I like the weather cold,
bleak and soggy (wait what?) like my soul. But I have to say that even I am
starting to crave a shot of vitamin D right now and a little bit of sun and
some bright colours might just do me the world of good. I suspect this phase
will pass. In the mean time these are the bits and bobs that I’ve got my eye
on.
The Marks & Spencer Limited Collection Multi Blush is
adorable and I say that even as someone who oaths Valentines. The multi
coloured heart and the twee cardboard packaging is just cute ok! Plus it’s only
£6 so it would be a cheap pick me up for a miserable gray February day.
I’m slowly weaning myself off the dark, vampy berry lips I’ve
been wearing all winter and I am starting to look at more cheerful options.
Being a predictable creature I’m looking to corals/ orange tones to brighten my
mood and my face. I like the 2 Revlon Lip Butters that I already own as easy to
wear, chuck ‘em on and go products so I think the shade Tutti Fruiti could be a
fun low maintenance option.
Yes I know I have a million dupes for these shades but
damnit I want it anyway. I can’t even con myself into justifying it because it would
be handy to have matte highlight, blending and a black shade all in the 1
palette because I have an empty MAC quad that I could fill with Blanc Type, Kid
etc. Hopefully my lusting over the Urban Decay Naken Basics palette will end
soon...
I simply adore the latest collection from Illamasqua. L’Imperfection
is all about celebrating the things that may have been considered
imperfections. It’s a fabulous positive makeup message and epitomises what I
like to think makeup is about. It’s about having fun and embracing creativity,
not trying to conform to an unreachable idea of perfection (she says clutching
her under eye concealer like it’s the last tube on the planet). For me the
stand outs from the collection are the Nail Varnish in Freckle (gorgeous quirky
take on a nude nail but a touch pricey at £14.50) and the powder blush duo in
Katie & Ambition (£26).
Finally I’ve been decorating the bedroom slowly and giving
it a bit of a shabby chic feel. What can I say. I’m a total sheep. I think
these scented candles from Ikea are gorgeous and at £4.25 for the two pack I
reckon I can justify it!
What have you been lusting over of late?

I really love those Illamasqua polishes but I'll be praying for a high st. dupe coming soon!

Check out Accessorize in Superdrug. Apparently they do a similar style polish :) x
